DAO Update Jan 12, 2023

Huge milestone reached! We’ve crossed $1000 in total DAO funds!

This is a big step for us all! We’ve gotten tons of grassroots support from the Proton community, and we are only going up from here! We are continuing to market, grow our Twitter followers and fund, and interact with the community every day. Please see our upcoming events below!

January 16, 2023 — $DAOXP Airdrop

• The $DAOXP airdrop begins. Each DAO member as of January 16, 2023 will receive 500,000 $DAOXP. Earn 100,000 $DAOXP more by interacting with the tweet posted on January 16, 2023. (You must interact with the tweet before January 20, 2023 to receive the 100,000 $DAOXP.) Airdrop will be complete by Monday January 23.

January 17, 2023 — DAO Proposal Phase begins

Proposals are intended to do the following:

• Vote on uses for the Community Fund, such as hack-a-thons, development for tools, creation of resources, etc.
• Proposals must enhance the DAO. Proposals that go against the DAO’s ethos or goals can be vetoed by the Founder’s Council.

Example Proposals:

• Use the 5% of Community Fund set aside for investing to buy $LOAN and stake for 4 years. Claim and sell 50% of rewards to and add to DAO fund.
• Use 50% of Community Fund for Metallicus/Proton sponsored hack-a-thons to boost development on chain and build DAO reputation.
• Create a $DAOXP buyback and burn mechanism using a % of total DAO fund.
• etc…

February 4, 2023 — The Big Giveaway

The DAO will conduct our big giveaway with the following prizes

• 1st Place: Gift card/cash prize of 45% of DAO giveaway fund (currently $461)
• 2nd Place: Proton Skulls #93
• 3rd-5th Place: Imaginary Living NFT, Bsprouts AI (custom) NFT, Cyber Puppies NFT
• 6th & 7th place: Free DAO membership for the Q2.

February 4–February 30 — DAO Voting Phase begins

The DAO will vote on Proposals made in the Proposal Phase

• Voting specifics will be communicated at a later date.
• We will utilize blockchain voting so all votes can be publicly recorded and verified.
• We will utilize FOOBAR to send the voting transaction. FOOBAR is a free-token used for testing, although you will be able to send any token if you wish.
