DAO Update Feb 3, 2023

We are in the DAO Proposal and Voting phase currently, intersecting with the Giveaway Phase starting next week (snapshot Feb 10).

We have one (1) active proposal on our discord page and the floor is open for proposals from DAO members.

Our new quarter will begin March 1 with a new fund and members.

Twitter Followers: 891 (+145) huge jump again!

Telegram members: 186 (+19)

Twitter is gaining momentum, and is very bullish for the DAO as we can reach far more people with higher follower counts. We will likely hold a 1,000 followers $DAOXP giveaway using our DAO social fund. That has potential to get new members from non-Proton holders who are recent followers.

Reminder that a new quarter means members are reset. This may be a dissatisfier on the surface if you didn’t win anything in DAO giveaways, but I urge you to remember that the DAO continues to provide value to the community through community connection, resources, promotion of Proton, and growth of the ecosystem through our community fund. And the membership NFT is pretty cool anyways!

Your $5, or $0.06 per day (literally) goes directly towards growing our community and Proton / Metal ecosystems. The DAO is currently in consideration of a smart-contract project that would benefit project creators and potentially allow the DAO to grow its fund.

Second reminder, be aware there is a no purchase necessary option for DAO membership. Follow the instructions in the whitepaper appendix. We strongly encourage people to buy the membership NFT as it help our project do more for the community, but we understand some may want to contribute who do not have the funds to do so.
